Our philosophy is to diversify our property and private equity investments, looking for strategic acquisitions that will benefit from the different stages in the economic cycle.
Demand for quality property is constant and the experience and market knowledge of Ashington is utilised to find quality investment grade properties. We look across the traditional asset classes – Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Retain and those select few properties that meet our criteria are purchased, usually within a syndicate.
Our property syndicates are single asset, fixed term property investment structures which are geared to around 60% of property value. This level of gearing enhances returns to investors, providing high yields and often tax advantaged income flow.
Ashington Investment Management sources the property, in the range of $5M to $20M, creates the syndicate, co-invests in the syndicate with other investors and provides the sound asset strategy and management for the term of the investment.
Ashington also undertakes a development role and likewise with investment property, we form a syndicate to undertake the development with Ashington managing the project and co-investing.
As managers of the Ashington Private Equity Fund, we specialise in providing expansion capital to businesses in a range of industry sectors. These growth companies are often overlooked by larger corporate investors and at Ashington, we have the hands on business experience to appreciate the challenges and the potentially rewarding investment opportunities they represent.
The Manager will continue to develop our key investment products capable of providing long term growth and income opportunities for investors.
